On a recent thread on popular social media platform Twitter, Vitalik Buterin reflected on his previous predictions on the need for decentralisation within the crypto space. In a previous article published on Jul. 23, 2013, Buterin had predicted that top crypto asset Bitcoin could help its owners resist censorship and interference from governments all over the world.
He also predicted the possibility of protecting the buying ability of citizens all over the globe using Bitcoin as a decentralised currency. When making these predictions, China, Argentina, Iran, and several African countries were considered.
